The petition is still addressed to Dr Reid. Until it is changed to the current Home Secretary, I feel unable to sign it even though I agree wholly with its sentiments and objectives. Sad

Good evening, David.

Thank you for your question. I have just e-mailed the MP who intends to present the petition on the floor of the House of Commons to clarify whether there is a need to ammend the recipient's details or whether to do so would invalidate the current signatures. I shall get back to you with an answer as soon as I have one. Many thanks for your question. I shall do the best I can to get back to you shortly.

Kind regards,

Johnno.

Good morning, David.

I have just received a response from the MP who said:

"...When you send the petition to me for tabling officially in the House, I will do a front sheet in Parliamentary language that is necessary for all petitions and this will tidy up the new Home Sec name issue etc… no problems."

I hope this will allay your concerns. Please feel free to contact me directly if you are still concerned. I look forward to hearing from you. All the best.

Johnno.
